Los Lonely Boys FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2010 at 8p.m.
Known for their eclectic Tejano mix of rock, blues, soul and country, Los Lonely Boys have worked with music pioneers like Carlos Santana. They are not just another brother act, but a trio of talented men so in sync with each other that the music just happens. Los Lonely Boys reflects depth everywhere via deep appreciation for family ties, deep admiration for their mentors, and deep gratitude for the opportunities that have come their way. And it comes through in their music, apparent in the songs they write from their hearts as well as the covers they choose to share with their audiences.
The Buckinghams FRIDAY, MARCH 18, 2011 at 8p.m.
A popular attraction while still in high school, the quintet changed its name from the Pulsations to the Buckinghams and signed with Chicago's USA Records in 1966. With their buoyant lead vocals, prominent harmonies and punchy soul-styled brass, the Buckinghams were an instant hit. After signing with Columbia records the band produced hits like: Kind of a Drag, Hey Baby, They're Playing Our Song, Don't You Care, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, Susan, and Back in Love Again? In 1967, they played 300 concert dates alone. Since 1982, founding members Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna have performed with talented backing musicians in Classic Rock Shows across the USA and Canada.
ROCKAPELLA FRIDAY, APRIL 15 2011at 8p.m. USA Today puts it simply, "Some say the best musical instrument of all is the human voice- if you've seen Rockapella you know that's the truth." Rockapella has appeared with the best- The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC's Today Show with Katie Couric & Matt Lauer, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, the CBS Early Show with Bryant Gumbel, CBS's Orange Bowl Parade- the list goes on. Rockapella are the progenitors of a new flavor of contemporary pop music; one that has spread virtually across the United States, Asia and Europe and has built legions of fans throughout the world. Often imitated, never duplicated, Rockapella remains an innovative burst of talent continuing to sell out venues around the world.
